SB62 June 2025 UN Climate Change Meeting

The Brahma Kumaris at the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB62) | 16–26 June 2025

Amid intensifying climate impacts and rising global inequality, over 9,400 participants gathered in Bonn for the SB62 Climate Meetings—a key stepping stone between COP29 in Baku and COP30 in Belém. Despite modest progress on adaptation finance and indicators, negotiations remained slow, particularly around climate finance, technology, and capacity building.

As an observer organization, the Brahma Kumaris offered a unique spiritual lens, emphasizing the need to address the deeper crisis of consciousness driving inaction. Through participation in side events and interfaith collaborations, BKs promoted inner transformation as a foundation for values-based climate action, aligned with justice, human rights, and community empowerment.
